Prosecutor Scolded for Flagrant Misconduct

My partner and I have nothing but the highest praise for police officers, prosecuting attorneys and judges. Having said that, as in any professional (including attorneys), there are always a few bad apples which spoil the whole bunch.

Recently, a Los Angeles based federal judge granted a new trial with an opinion that lambasted the prosecution for persistently and recklessly disregarding or violating certain constitutional responsibilities designed to disclose evidence and protect the defendant.

Whether or not these violations were a mistake or intentional, it's always important to have competent legal counsel making sure your rights are protected at all times. This is especially true at the very beginning of a criminal investigation. Get a good attorney involved right away.
